Verdict: five stars

Michael Buble sure knows how to make an entrance - but then again the Canadian crooner doesn't need to try very hard.

The king of swing had every woman in the palm of his hands from the very moment he walked onto the Glasgow Hydro stage on Saturday night to a blaze of flames - which he said blew his budget for the show, but then again they were pretty spectacular.

Opening with the rather appropriate Fever - let's face it girls the Buble leaves us all feeling flushed - before belting out the hit Just Haven't Met You Yet, Buble bounced into the arena dressed in attire more suited to Bond.

He then professed his love for the city by getting down and kissing the Hydro stage.

He screamed, "What's up Glasgow! I love you. What I just did here is the truth and I love you guys. You see lots of shows here and they are like I love you Glasgow but they are all liars."

Michael then leaped from the stage after spotting two fans who had a sign stating, "If your ever gonna kiss me, it better be tonight."

Their DIY sign clearly worked as the lucky pair got a kiss from the handsome star before he recreated the famous Oscar selfie with the girls and the rest of the Hydro.

Antics aside, Buble really is a rare talent in the world of music...

The singer has done countless shows on the To Be Loved tour all over the world - which includes three nights in Glasgow - and yet he manages to create what feels like a unique night for the audience.

His voice is flawless, and he really brings a Rat Pack-esque feeling to his concert...he is genuinely funny, smooth and you can't help but love him.

His set list included all the usual favourites Everything, You Make Me Feel So Young, Feeling Good and Home.

A surprise upbeat section went down a treat with the audience...with Michael covering Daft Punk's Get Lucky and Elvis' Burning Love.

A Motown medley with support act Naturally 7 showed off Michael's funky side and gave the audience a closer view of their idol as he danced around a separate stage in the middle of the arena.

Ending on a high with A Song For You, Buble stripped back his backing music, and sang without a microphone - leaving the audience shocked at the sheer power of his voice.

Whether you love him or just simply adore him, Buble mania has well and truly arrived in Glasgow and the forecast is...it will be here for the weekend at the very least.
