Aneurin Barnard - whose screen appearances have included The White Queen - has joined the cast of a new ITV drama about Cilla Black, playing her husband Bobby Willis.

The Welsh actor, who has also appeared in BBC4 drama We'll Take Manhattan as photographer David Bailey, has joined the three-part series Cilla, looking at the early career of the singer turned TV host.

Sheridan Smith is taking the title role in the drama, which is currently being filmed.
