Mundell line up triple gigs for Jorgenson

Mundell Music, the promoters who specialise in bringing leading names from vintage American rock and roots music to the small town of Kinross, continue to secure coups that a big city venue might envy.

Regular visitor to Kinross, John Jorgenson, the former guitarist for Sir Elton John, brings his electric band to the Green Hotel on May 15 and 18. He then returns with his bluegrass quartet on July 3.

Featuring Herb Peterson (whose CV includes work with Earl Scruggs, Gram Parsons, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson and Jackson Browne), the quartet also includes former Emmylou Harris guitarist and songwriter John Randall and Grammy-winning Nashville bassist Mark Fain.

Mundell also have concerts lined up by singer-songwriter Kevin Montgomery (tonight), guitarist Albert Lee with Hogan's Heroes (May 16, 17, 19), and trail-blazing Irish folk duo Tir Na Nog (July 5).
