Louis Smith is to showcase his medal-winning skills - along with other Team GB gymnasts - with a performance to launch BBC1 series Tumble.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner will show celebrity contestants, who have had a crash-course in gymnastic techniques in only a few weeks of training, that he knows what he is talking about by performing a spectacular routine with his fellow stars.

Smith is a judge on the programme, which launches on Saturday evening, along with Romanian-born Olympic star Nadia Comaneci, who collected a gold in 1976.

He will be joined by five other Team GB gymnasts, including London 2012 colleagues with whom he shared a team bronze.

Smith will be joined by Max Whitlock, Kristian Thomas, Nile Wilson, Dan Purvis and Adam Cox, who between them received 18 medals at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

They will give a group display to get the series under way. Contestants include Sarah Harding and boxer Carl Froch.
