David Trent talks to HeraldScotland about powerpoints, snoring and kebabs.
Tell us about your Fringe show
It's called DAVID TRENT: LIVE AT THE PLEASANCE COURTYARD. It's really fast and funny and has loads of video in it, animations clips etc.
There's 271 slides in my powerpoint presentation so there's at least 271 laughter points, which I just worked out is a rate of 4 laughs per minute, but some slides have more than one laugh attached.
I don't like to give the game away to much about what's in the show but it's a straightforward hour of laughs with no great big central theme, lesson to be learned or traumatic experience to come to terms with. However, it is funny. Very funny.
Best thing about the Fringe?
Palmyra's pizza and kebab. Every night. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
Worst thing about the Fringe?
Having to go home at the end.
How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?
This will be my third fringe.
Favourite Fringe venue?
I really like the venue where Forest Fringe takes place.
I went last year with my friend Lisa and saw a play where a woman danced on a grave and had octopus on a screen. It was pretty great. I recommend it to everyone.
Best Fringe memory?
In 2012 I was asleep and then my flatmate's girlfriend woke me up at 4 in the morning telling me to stop snoring.
I really remember that clearly. She wasn't even living with us. What a madam.
Best heckle?
Doesn't exist. You guys with your "best heckle" questions. Honestly, don't encourage the buggers.
Craziest on stage experience?
Crazy onstage experiences tend to get blanked out.
Most embarrassing was when Rhod Gilbert was running some new material nights in a big sold out pub in Cardiff with my pal Henry Widdicombe.
I was invited to do a middle spot. I walked on like I was the king of the world and half way through my vain glorious posturing tripped over a power supply and did a massive belly flop onto the stage. Pretty cool guy.
What's on your rider?
I don't have a rider. I am a tiny concern.
How do you wind down after a show?
I am 5ft 10 and 17.5 stone so I can pretty much fall asleep at the drop of a hat.
It's not difficult for me to become comatose so I don't really do anything other than drive home.
What do you love about Scotland?
Palmyra Kebab and Grill. I also really like that place where Fence Records held Homegame - Anstruther - great music, amazing fish and chips.
What do you like about Edinburgh?
I like Palmyra Kebab and Grill and I like the fish restaurant down on Leith Harbour.
What's the most Scottish thing you've done?
I once ate some Haggis. I really like Haggis. Most of my things are based around food. I think I have a problem.
What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?
My jokes.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
