Shirley & Shirley discuss boozing, underwear and fake moustaches with HeraldScotland.

Tell us about your Fringe show

It's fast paced and upbeat. A little filthy, definitely silly with characters, sketch and the occasional game.

Best thing about the Fringe?

The late night boozers.

Worst thing about the Fringe?

Flyering in the rain.

How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

6 years.

Favourite Fringe venue?

This one. The Box at Assembly Gardens. It looks like tupperware from the outside but goodly vibes inside.

Best Fringe memory?

Our first 4 star review from the Herald in our first year: "These girls are going all the way".

Best heckle?

'Somebody please stop them!'

Craziest on stage experience?

The shorter Shirley lost her skirt for a sketch in the mess back stage and had to come out in just underwear.

What's on your rider?

Fake moustaches, vitamin C and chicken.

How do you wind down after a show?

Three bottles of wine and a cheese and ham crepe.

What do you love about Scotland?

The scenic views.

What do you like about Edinburgh?

It strengthens the cankles. All those cobbled streets.

What's the most Scottish thing you've done?

Sat outside our venue eating a sausage in a bun with just a vest and jeans on.

What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

Self deprecating ones, basically taking the piss out of toff totty from London.

Favourite joke?

Come and see the show. There won't be any there...
