Joe Bonamassa is coming to Glasgow.

The blues superstar, who opened for B.B. King when he was 12-years-old, will play Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium on July 3 2016.

The show, A Salute to the British Blues Explosion, is billed as a special one-time only UK event and will see Bonamassa pay homage to British rock guitarists including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.

It is the closing show at this year’s Glasgow’s Jazz Festival.

Bonamassa said: "If it wasn't for certain British musicians of the early 1960s, the Blues may well never have exploded into Rock music as we know it today, and indeed may have passed into history."

Tickets for the show, priced £51.10 to £85.15 including admin fee, will go on sale at 9am on Friday.
