Susan Sarandon and Piers Morgan have got into a hilarious Twitter row over the outfit Susan wore to the SAG Awards on Sunday.
Susan, 69, opted for a white trouser suit with a black bra top that showed off her impressive cleavage but Piers was not impressed that she flashed some flesh while presenting the In Memoriam tribute, tweeting:
Would Susan Sarandon wear this to a funeral? No.
It was thus horribly inappropriate for an In Memoriam tribute. pic.twitter.com/hMoGChJY8D— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 3, 2016
Susan, who presented the segment paying tribute to SAG members who had died during the year, gave this amazing response, using a picture of herself from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Today’s #TBT is dedicated to @piersmorgan. pic.twitter.com/InU7d6qhC0

Piers was not to be outdone though, responding with this Photoshopped delight:
Today's #TBT is dedicated to @SusanSarandon. pic.twitter.com/g8Wh6phMrA

The Twitter battle prompted fans to leap to Susan’s defence, tweeting pictures of their cleavage to both her and Piers.
@SusanSarandon These girls fed 2 babies & survived breast cancer. STFU haters. #cleavage #support pic.twitter.com/y5KZxH9aoT

Piers eventually clarified his remarks with these tweets:
Seems to be some massive misunderstanding that I am anti-cleavage.
I'm only anti-cleavage during In Memoriam tributes to dead people.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 5, 2016
Just for the record, @SusanSarandon, I think your cleavage is magnificent.
I'd just keep it hidden for "In Memoriam" tributes.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
