Larry Dean talks about his new show Farcissist.

1 Tell us about your Fringe show

It's a show about my inability to deal with emotions, loving old people, and my stint as an Elvis impersonator. There might also be a one or two gags about my sex life, or lack thereof.

2 Best thing about the Fringe?

Constantly being around my friends.

3 Worst thing about the Fringe?

Constantly being around my friends.

4 How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

This it is my 6th year! Only my second solo show though.

5 Favourite Fringe venue?

Bob Slayer is doing something really extraordinary with the Blundabus. It's the most fringe spirited venue and should be visited at least once during festival.

6 Best Fringe memory?

Being nominated for Best Newcomer last year. It came as a huge shock. My only goal for that year was to do a show I was proud of. The nomination was the icing on the cake.

7 Best heckle?

Heckler "Larry"

Me: "Yeah?"

Heckler "Thats enough now mate, get off."

8 Craziest on stage experience?

Having two audience members grab the microphone off me because they thought I was being homophobic. I tried explaining to them that I was gay, but they had my microphone.

9 What’s on your rider?

Bottle of Irn Bru. What else?

10 How do you wind down after a show?

Constantly being around my friends.

11 What do you love about Scotland?

It is my home!

12 What do you like about Edinburgh?

Scotland is my home and Edinburgh feels like home. During the fringe, it's like having my comedy family around.

13 What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve done?

I've complained every single day since I got here.

14 What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

I can only talk about the audiences I have gigged to, so in my experience, I will say they respond to good ones.

15 Favourite joke?

A Glasgow woman goes to the dentist and settles down in the chair.

"Comfy?" asks the dentist.

"Govan," she replies

16 Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Potato scone with haggis and Irn Bru.

Larry Dean will perform Farcissist at Plesance Courtyard until August 28.
