THE new Collective Gallery at the top of Edinburgh's Calton Hill is due to re-open to the public in August.

It had been announced previously that the gallery would open, after a £4m building and revamp project, in late spring.

However, due to the complications of redeveloping the site, it will now be opening in time for the Festival period.

The first exhibition at the new gallery and revamped observatory atop the famous hill be as previously announced: work by Dineo Seshee Bopape, James N Hutchinson, Alexandra Laudo, Tessa Lynch, Catherine Payton, and Klaus Weber.
