Alistair Williams new stand-up show ‘Great White Male’ will be on at Just The Tonic Just Up The Stairs during August.

  • What is your Fringe show about?

It’s about how problematic it is to be a white man in the UK.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

Three times.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

I produced a show last year called Food. It was all about the types of food that people can eat if they want to be super healthy. The show was nominated as one of the top shows at the fringe last year by the Amused Moose awards.

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

Leaving at the end of August. I love everything about it, I would go into September if they let me. (they won’t I checked)

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

I used to work in advertising sales so I’d probably still be doing that. This is what motivates me every day.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

I don’t really. I live for comedy so I tend to walk around prepared.

Performing comedy I love it.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

Half my show is taking the p**s out of the English does that count?

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Baked potatoes

  • Sum up your show in three words
