  • What is your Fringe show about?

It’s about a worm that has misunderstood who she is and what her limits are. She has heard about how caterpillars turn into butterflies and thinks, ‘yeah, I’d like to do that too'.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

I have been in one play, one musical, three shows in a double act, two shows on my own and two totally mad shows that my friends wrote.

So, in total I’ve been 6 times and in 8 shows. One year I did three shows a day and it was on reflection, too many.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

Probably being nominated for best newcomer last year. I could not, could not, and still can’t believe it!

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

I don’t like all the flyers that end up in the bin, I think people order too many.

Maybe in the future you will be able to just do a double blink and then you have emailed your flyer to someone’s brain.

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

I’d probably still be a Cleaner slash Nanny for the Circus.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

If there's space I lie on the floor and go to sleep (rare but doable. If there’s time I'm normally fixing something that’s fallen apart or moving the seating around or giving the technician some sort of stressful new sound cue.

I love going to the beach or climbing that big hill and I love having scampi and chips in the city café. That’s 3 things isn’t it. I also love my venue, The Monkey Barrel.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

Well I’m very embarrassed to say, my first time at the fringe I bought a kilt; I just had a very strong need to have one. I went 100% tourist. No one would stand next to me so I was lonely, but I looked good. (obviously I did not look good).

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

I think it’s absolutely, definitely shortbread.

  • Sum up your show in three words

Heartwarming Chaotic Madness
