Elf Lyons: ChiffChaff is on at the Pleasance Dome during August.

  • What is your Fringe show about?

I have no idea. But it involves several sex dolls, an inflatable elephant and an explanation of Monetary Policy through mime.

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

Since I was 17. I am 27 now.

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

Dancing on the tables at the Counting house at 1am as Felicity Ward DJ'd like an absolute pro - and we all danced until we were liquid.

The moment I found out I had been nominated and I sat in the park with Andrew O'Neil and Garrett Millerick and drank champagne from the bottle. It all seemed so totally bonkers.

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

The alienation, imposter syndrome, the pressure to be happy all the time. I miss my brother and sister a lot.

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

I would love to be a teacher one day . Or be a mermaid.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

Eat a mars bar and receive cuddles off all venue staff.

Everything.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

I organised a series of uprisings and rebellions in the month coming to the festival.

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Haggis Smoothie.

  • Sum up your show in three words

Un. Ex. Plainably. SIlly.
