Pippa Evans talks about her new show, Same Same but Different.

1 Tell us about your Fringe show

It's a joyful hour of Inspirtainment! Songs, jokes and an exploration of how brilliant my audience is. Plus some stories about my mum.

2 Best thing about the Fringe?

Eating haggis all day, every day.

3 Worst thing about the Fringe?

The results of eating haggis all day, every day.

4 How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

11 years! My first show was a musical about a circus. It was terrible, but we bonded in it's beautiful awfulness.

5 Favourite Fringe venue?

Bannerman's Bar! It's got doors AND ice cold Irn Bru.

6 Best Fringe memory?

Like the 60s, if you can remember it, you weren't really there.

7 Best heckle?

"I think you're brilliant" - what do you say to that!

8 Craziest on stage experience?

Being yelled at to remove my chest from its wrapping (paraphrased) and having a brawl with a table of big, burly men. What a Christmas that was!

9 What’s on your rider?

Tea, Irn Bru, sweets from Lickety Splits and all of The Showstoppers.

10 How do you wind down after a show?

Port. Or a swim. Or a Swim in port. The drink, not the area.

11 What do you love about Scotland?

The accent, the humour, the pizza shops on every corner.

12 What do you like about Edinburgh?

It's so beautiful! Like a Guinevere's eyes - deep and grey.

13 What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve done?
Got angry with flyerers.

14 What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

Ones about the crass, sexual goings-on on Cowgate.

15 Favourite joke?

What do you call two modern dancers fighting in a cocktail glass? A Pina Collider!

16 Favourite Scottish food/drink?

Haggis. On a jacket potato. Washed down with Irn Bru. Delicious!

Pippa Evans: Same Same but Different is on at Bannermans (Venue 357) until August 28.
