DAVUR Juul Magnussen, principal trombone with the RSNO, is seen above warming up in the sun during the orchestra's current five-date tour of Spain. Scotland’s national orchestra in paying to sold out audiences in Alicante, Castellon, Zaragoza, Logrono and Santander this week, conducted by Music Director Peter Oundjian and with Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter as guest soloist. The RSNO continues its international ambassadorial duties in March when it makes its first visit to the USA in over 30 years, as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations.

EDINBURGH music promoters Click Clack present their first session of 2017 on Thursday, January 26, at their regular venue, Henry’s Cellar Bar in Morrison Street. Bassist Dave Conway’s jazz group Adorables ‘n’ Deplorables, featuring Susanna Orr Holland on vocals, share the bill with Moroccan singer and guembre player Omar Afif’s Gnawa Fusion Trio and jazz-funk quartet Strictly Confidential. The music begins at 7:30pm.
