Celebrity Carry on Barging (C5, 8pm)

New series. Nigel Havers joins forces with Debbie McGee, while Lorraine Chase and Simon Callow pool their resources commanding a pair of narrow boats along two canals, the Kennet & Avon and the Llangollen. While both Debbie and Nigel have driven boats before, controlling 60ft barges Tara and May proves to be a whole new challenge. Less than an hour into their voyage, the celebs' lack of experience shows when they have a brush with a moored boat. The evening sees the stars get to know one another better, over the fruits of Debbie's galley debut.

Cruising with Jane McDonald (C5, 9pm)

The singer, TV presenter and former 'Loose Woman' Jane McDonald is, of course, no stranger to life on the high seas – she first came to the public's attention in the landmark 1998 fly-on-the-wall series The Cruise. In those days, though, the idea of maritime luxury extended not much further than the 600-passenger Caribbean cruise ship the MV Galaxy. Now, there's a whole class of ships – so-called 'mega cruisers' – that dwarf such vessels. Here, McDonald embarks the MSC Divina, which can host 4,300 passengers. It's the first time she has been aboard such a vast vessel, but although the scale of the ship is clearly something of a departure for Jane. It's Caribbean calling points, however, are like a home from home.
