THE BOARD of Trustees of Aberdeen’s Citymoves Dance Agency has announced the appointment of Steve Slater as its new Director.

Citymoves now has a new status as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).

Annette Murray, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said: "We are delighted that Steve has elected to join us at this pivotal moment in Citymoves’ history.

"He brings a wealth of experience in arts management and has a proven track record in strategic development in Scotland’s cultural life, including 14 years at Glasgow’s Tramway.

"We are very fortunate to have attracted him to the north east – Glasgow’s loss is very much Aberdeen’s gain."

Slater spent 14 years as senior producer for live art at Tramway, Glasgow.

Citymoves was previously part of and supervised by the Aberdeen City Council’s (ACC) Education and Children’s Services department. It became an independent organisation in October 2016.
