Born and raised in Carluke, I left the darkest depths of the Shire to follow the bright lights of Coatbridge to kickstart my journalism career. I spent my first four years in the industry working for Pressteam news agency covering court stories, murders, scandal and breaking news for all the major national titles in the UK. After several years also freelancing with the sports desk at The Herald, I moved in 2012 to the Evening Times permanently as a sports production journalist. When I'm not in the office you will probably find me in a press box somewhere in Scotland covering the SPFL Premiership for The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times, or sitting rink side as the Evening Times Braehead Clan correspondent.
