I am currently studying a masters in Multimedia Journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University where I am working towards my NCTJ and BJTC qualifications. I have been involved in athletics from a young age with Victoria Park City of Glasgow Athletic Club. I competed mostly in middle distance events across the UK for Victoria Park and Team Glasgow.

The head of Team Scotland's record-breaking 58 person athletics squad is moving onto pastures new after the Games finish.
This surpasses the previous record number of 57, who represented Scotland in track, field and marathon during the 1986 Edinburgh Games.
Chris, 24, competes for Shettleston Harriers and has made an impressive start to the season; throwing a Scottish Men's League record of 71.37metres in his opening competition of the season in Aberdeen.
Everyone remembers the 2009 Athletics World Championships in Berlin; not because of mascot Berlino the Bear but rather as the competition and the track where the fastest ever 100 and 200metre times were recorded.
The Jordanhill athlete was formerly a gymnast before taking up athletics and competing with local Glasgow club Victoria Park.
Glasgow 2014 has the potential to be Team Scotland's most successful on the track. Hampden Park has been transformed into a world class athletics stadium and Scottish athletes will be hoping the atmosphere created by the home crowd will propel them onto the podium.
