The number selected represents the biggest squad ever from the Isle of Man at a Commonwealth Games but for one of their number the trip to Scotland will be one they are very much accustomed to.
The nations shooting body, Shooting Australia, nominated a team with mixture of both youth and experience which was then officially named by the Australian Commonwealth Games Association in early May.
Scotland's shooting team has been on the road recently as they look to up their preparations ahead of the games in July. A fifteen strong team competed at the International Shooting Completion of Hannover in Germany before heading to Czech Republic for the Grand Prix of Liberation in Plzen.
With an impressive 17 Commonwealth medals to his name from five previous games, Gault will go after Australian shooter Peter Adams' record of 18 medals when he takes to the range in July.
. Located in the village of Barry, west of Carnoustie, the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre will host the shooting competitions from July 25-29.
