In 2014, Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Glasgow School of Art was assaulted by fire.

Last January, more than a ton of external brickwork collapsed onto the playground of Oxgangs Primary School in Edinburgh. The school, completed in 2005 by Miller Construction, now Galliford Try Ltd, was built under Labour’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative. The wall came down overnight, and fell onto a place where children and parents gather before school. Luckily no one was injured.
