Entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne spoke last night of the role played by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay in his latest charity interest.

The Dragons' Den TV show panellist was a guest at the annual gala fundraising dinner for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association staged by Ramsay, the charity's honorary patron.

He and wife Joanne were impressed by the services and support provided for more than 3000 children, young adults and their families affected by spina bifida, or hydrocephalus.

He said: "When I saw what the charity has achieved in a short space of time with the help of Gordon, I was stunned.

"From working in dilapidated buildings in 2001 the charity now has a purpose-built family support centre.
