Star rating: **** LET'S be calm about what happened in the City Hall on Thursday night. At the end of a revelatory performance of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique by the BBC SSO and its chief conductor-designate, Donald Runnicles, everybody was raving. The audience was raving about Runnicles and the band. The band, pouring out into Albion Street, was raving about Runnicles. Upstairs, in the conductor's room, Runnicles was raving about the band.
