Betrayed by Britain

If you are prepared to die for this country, you should be entitled to live here. It was the self-evident justice of that statement which resonated with the British people's sense of fair play to ensure the government was defeated over its insistence on impossibly stringent rules for former Gurkha riflemen who wanted to settle in Britain.
