Kit Ryan's comedy-horror is a case of too much ambition, too little budget and talent. Stephen Dorff, whose previous horror experience extended to playing Britney Spears's boyfriend in a music vid, is Ritchie, a small-time thief sent on a job by a Russian Mr Big. When the gig goes wrong, Ritchie finds himself trapped with a roomful of hostages and a sinister force on the loose. What must have looked daring on the page comes across as cheap and lame on screen. The budget wasn't even able to stretch to a real rat, unless that scrap of fake fur was just one of many jokes that suffered a painful death.
