THE highest-paid director at Murray International Holdings has seen their rewards fall from £1.014 million to £793,000.

Accounts filed at Companies House show executive remuneration at the company, majority owned by Sir David Murray, fell from £3.047m to £2.125m in the year to June 30, 2011.

Murray Group did not respond to questions over who the highest paid director was.

During the year company secretary David Horne left to join law firm HBJ Gateley.

Graeme Hill, managing director of the metals division, and Donald Wilson, managing director of the oil and gas division, also resigned from the board to "fully devote" their time to the businesses they run.

The pre-tax loss figure before exceptional items at MIH narrowed from £8.6m to £5.6m.
