Tods Murray is hosting the first ever Scottish event with the CEO of Swiss banking software company Avaloq.

Francisco Fernandez's firm announced its arrival in Scotland at the end of last year alongside its plan to create 500 jobs for its new innovation centre based in Edinburgh, which was officially opened in February by John Swinney.

Francisco Fernandez will speak to an audience of Scottish SMEs in Glasgow for the first time on Thursday at the Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow.

He will be telling the story of his vision and the journey he has made developing Avaloq, as well as the aggressive growth plans in place through international expansion, which include Scotland.

Following hiss talk, Anne Bennie, senior associate in the employment law team at Tods Murray, will explore some “employer concerns” and suggest some preventative steps.

Martin Thurston Smith, head of employment law at Tods Murray, said he hoped the event would prove to be insightful and highly engaging, offering practical advice to Scottish businesses. "The session will provide a platform for lively discussion and delegates will have the opportunity to put questions to Francisco, as well as exchanging views with fellow business leaders from the SME sector."
