Scotland’s events industry came together for the Scottish Event Awards, to honour the country’s best event organisers, promoters, venues and suppliers.
The fifth annual awards, in association with Event Scotland, took place at the Radisson Blu on Thursday 6 September. It’s the only annual award scheme which provides the Scottish event industry with its own platform to demonstrate their talent and skills.
Loch Ness based music festival Rockness won the Event Management Grand Prix, after being nominated alongside heavyweight international events including Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, Glasgow Film Festival and The Tall Ships Race.
PR agency Tricker PR won four awards, including for their campaign, Deer Oh Deer, to create a smoked venison flavoured ice-cream for the Cairngorms Venison Festival.
The Edinburgh Corn Exchange was named Best Large Venue in Scotland for the second year running. A former corn exchange, the listed building is used as a conference centre, banqueting suite, exhibition hall and music venue.
