LINLITHGOW'S Champany Inn, best known for serving up quality Scottish beef in its fine dining restaurant, has re-banked with HSBC after its owners signalled plans to develop the business.

Clive and Anne Davidson established the restaurant in 1983 and have steadily expanded the business into a food and drink destination with 16 rooms, wine cellar and chop and ale house.

Now they are aiming to add to the facilities by creating a purpose-built delicatessen, where visitors will be able to buy prime cuts from an in-house butcher, and expanding its wine cellar.
