An Edinburgh based company is celebrating after being awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

HotDocs, a document generation software provider, attended two official receptions in Edinburgh and London to mark the company's success in winning the award. During the reception at Edinburgh's City Chambers on Tuesday, July 30, managing director Russell Shepherd was presented with a certificate and commemorative crystal bowl on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.

Lord Provost Donald Wilson, who hosted the Edinburgh reception said:  "My congratulations go to Russell and all of the staff at HotDocs for all their hard work and on receiving this well deserved recognition from the Queen.  I wish them the very best of luck with their ambitious plans for the future and continuing to represent Edinburgh both at home and abroad."

Shepherd also attended an official reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the Queen, on Tuesday, July 23 along with all of the other winners of the 2013 Queen's Awards for Enterprise. 

Mr Shepherd said: "Winning the Queen's Award for Enterprise for our success in International Trade is a tremendous endorsement of the hard work of the whole team in terms of increasing our sales in overseas markets.  We will continue to implement our ambitious growth plans to achieve further success in expanding our territories and entering new markets."
