ADVERTISING giant WPP has bought a majority stake in a marketing agency in Vietnam for an undisclosed sum.

Marketeers, which employs 75 people, is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City and has further sites in Hanoi, Danang and Can Tho. The agency was founded in 2002 and works for companies including Diageo, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble and Budweiser.

WPP said the deal was a further step to developing its presence in "fast-growth and important markets".
