PLEXUS Holdings, the oil and gas well technology firm, has won a £900,000 contract from Centrica, which owns Scottish Gas.

Aim-listed Plexus will supply a wellhead for use by the utility on the Pegasus West appraisal well off eastern England.

Plexus's chief excecutive, Ben Van Bilderbeek, said the company has won five orders from blue chip operators including Centrica so far in 2014. Plexus previously supplied equipment that Centrica used on a well it drilled offshore Norway.

Plexus will announce its results for the six months to December tomorrow.
