BREWDOG has revealed it is targeting Glasgow's Merchant City for its first craft beer bottle shop in Scotland.

The Ellon-based brewer and bar operator said it was aiming to open its second store in Scotland's biggest city after launching its first in London today.

The inaugural BottleDog, based at 69 Grays Inn Road, stocks more than 250 different beers, including four on tap. Brewdog, which intends to open a string of bottle shops this year, hopes it will become a hub for beer aficionados in London.

It allows consumers to fill up flasks, known as growlers, to take home, and stocks home-brewing equipment and ingredients such as wet yeast, malt and hops. Tasting sessions and home-brewing classes will also be held.
