A LAW firm which specialises in personal injury claims is opening its sixth office in Scotland.

Digby Brown said Lisa Gregory, formerly of Balfour and Manson, is joining as a partner to head up the new operation in Aberdeen.

Ms Gregory is said to have a long track record of representing injured workers from the offshore oil and gas industry working in Scottish and international waters.

She said: "I know how committed everyone in the firm is to getting the best results for clients, representing those injured through no fault of their own, whether on or offshore, on our roads or elsewhere, and improving health and safety standards for all. I share that commitment and am looking forward to leading and developing the firm's work in the region."

Fraser Oliver, Digby Brown chief executive, said: "Along with everyone at Digby Brown, I'm really pleased to welcome Lisa to the firm and very excited that she will be heading up our new Aberdeen office.

"Lisa's experience and track record demonstrate her commitment to helping people who have suffered personal injuries in Aberdeen and the North East."

Mr Oliver said the move into Aberdeen, where its offices will be on Union Street, was a milestone in the firm's growth. Its other offices are in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Inverness.
