SHAREHOLDERS in Wolfson Microelectronics have given overwhelming backing to the £291 million takeover of the Edinburgh-based company by America's Cirrus Logic.
Wolfson said resolutions to approve the takeover were approved by 99.97% and 99.98% respectively of around 63.5m shares voted on at a general meeting yesterday.
