NAUTRICITY, the Glasgow-based renewable energy company, is to partner with Fundy Tidal of Canada to develop a 500kw commercial tidal project off the coast of Nova Scotia.

The Strathclyde University spin-out company is planning to deploy its Contra Rotating Marine Turbine device, which can generate electricity for 400 homes, and its HydroBuoy mooring system, in Petit Passage, a tidal channel in the Bay of Fundy. The agreement provides for collaboration on grid connection and storage.
