CONSTRUCTION firm ISG has won a £3.1 million project to refurbish and extend an office block on behalf of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

That will see the AB1 building in central Aberdeen revamped with a new glass-fronted extension at the entrance and further additional space created on the third floor. Once renovations are finished there will be around 48,500 square feet of space.

Alan McCarthy-Wyper, managing director of ISG's construction business, said: "This latest project further reinforces our relationship with SWIP, which now includes our first scheme for the investment firm in Aberdeen.

"Once completed, AB1 will be the only new office space completed in Aberdeen city centre for around 18 months and we anticipate strong interest for these facilities."
