SCOTTISH accountancy firm Scott-Moncrieff has appointed Mark McRae as a partner within its business advisory group.

Mr McRae, pictured, who will be based in the firm's Glasgow office, joins from Haines Watts, and has more than 20 years' experience in the business advisory field.

He is said to have a strong reputation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and owner-managed firms within the retail, leisure, regeneration, renewable energy, housing association, manufacturing and technology sectors. He has worked for Deloitte in Scotland and London. Stewart MacDonald, managing partner at Scott-Moncrieff, said: "Mark is a key addition to our successful Glasgow practice."

New directors

DM Hall, the chartered surveying firm, has appointed new directors in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

The company has promoted Paul Reilly from associate to director in its Glasgow North office, and elevated building surveyor Barry McGhee to the same level in Aberdeen.

Mr McGhee joined DM Hall from CBRE in 2012, with Mr Reilly having originally joined the firm as a graduate in its Inverness office in 1998.

Senior partner Keith Jones said: "We have always endeavoured to look forward and invest in strengthening our business model. This is demonstrated by the promotion of key personnel such as Barry and Paul."
