ATLANTIS Resources has signed an agreement to get three turbines for its Pentland Firth tidal power project.
Norwegian firm Andritz Hydro Hammerfest, which has its UK base in Glasgow, will supply three of its 1.5 megawatt tidal turbines.
AIM-listed Atlantis is also planning to supply one of its own 1.5MW turbines for the demonstration phase of the development.

The MeyGen project in the Pentland Firth, between Caithness and the island of Stroma, is the largest tidal energy project planned in the world and is scheduled to begin producing in 2016.
