ANDY Murray's Cromlix House Hotel has been valued at £3.44 million in the first set of accounts filed for the business.

The abbreviated financial statement, for the period between 5 December 2012 and the end of November last year, said the valuation is based on the initial purchase price and the subsequent capital spending to improve the property.

The document said: "At the period end the refurbishment work was still in progress and therefore the asset was not depreciated."

The accounts also confirm Cromlix, based near Kinbuck in Perthshire, is wholly owned by the tennis star's 77 Management company.

The five-star Cromlix created around 40 jobs when it opened in March this year and has garnered a number of positive reviews.
