Scarborough Muir has received outline planning consent to develop its four-acre commercial development site in Dalgety Bay. Fife Council has approved an Aldi food store, a family pub restaurant, a drive-thru coffee restaurant and a small unit for offices or light industry.

The site, acquired by the Scarborough and Muir Group joint venture in 2008, forms part of the gateway to Donibristle industrial estate and Dalgety Bay. Construction is expected to start within a year and be completed in time for Christmas trading 2016.

The venture recently unveiled plans to take forward its 120-acre Rosyth Waterfront project.
