BREWDOG has announced it will open its second bar in Stockholm - and third in Sweden - later this month.

The expansion reflects the craft brewer's success in the city, with Scandinavia its biggest export territory. It launched a bar in Gothenburg last year.

BrewDog Sodermalm, based in Stockholm's creative district, will offer 18 taps serving its own beers and ales from 18 international breweries. Food, live music and retro gaming events will also be featured.

Sodermalm is the latest in a series of bars BrewDog has launched in cities around the world, which now number more than 30 following openings in Berlin, Brussels, Rome and Paris.

BrewDog co-founder James Watt said: “Since opening our first Stockholm location in 2013, the community of craft beer lovers has grown immensely every day, and we’re proud to provide some of the best and innovative beers from across the world in all our venues. With Stockholm’s huge passion for craft beer it felt right that we open a second bar in the city. We’re incredibly excited to be building upon our very close relationship with this beautiful city. Stockholm, we love you.”
