Legacy Property Developments has agreed a deal worth around £600,000 to buy Old Churches House Hotel in Dunblane.

The property, formerly an ecumenical conference centre and retreat, has been run by The Fusion Group in recent years on behalf of owners ACTS.

Fusion managing director Alex McKie also runs Legacy as his own separate company.

He said: “I have been linked with the property for almost four years, and during this time, have seen it transformed into a thriving business with a real sense of purpose in the heart of the Dunblane community.

“Fundamentally there is no change to the day to day operation of the hotel and brasserie, it's just simply now owned instead of being leased.”

Royal Bank of Scotland backed Legacy in the deal. David Simpson, relationship manager at the bank, said: "We are delighted that Alex McKie has taken his relationship with Old Churches House to the level of full ownership. It is well deserved as he has shown himself to be a fine custodian of the building and its rich heritage, preserving its integrity and character but creating a new, commercial purpose which has been a resounding success.”
