Aberdeen-based FirstGroup flags rise in UK bus revenues as oil price weighs on North American operations
ABERDEEN-based FirstGroup has highlighted continuing growth in revenues in its UK bus business in the first half of its financial year.
It said that revenues in its UK bus division during the six months to September 30 were expected to be up 1.3 per cent on a year earlier.
FirstGroup also reported strong growth in revenues in its UK rail business.
However, it highlighted a tougher climate for its North American operations arising from the tumble in oil prices. Cheaper fuel prices are encouraging more people to travel by car, rather than bus, in North America.
