LAW firm Davidson Chalmers has announced plans to open an office in Galashiels to capitalise on opportunities created by the new rail link between Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. The office will act as a regional hub for Davidson Chalmers, which has headquarters in Edinburgh and acts for Borders businesses in sectors such as renewable energy, hospitality and healthcare. The office will be headed up by Davidson Chalmers partner Andy Drane, who said: “We believe the new rail link is a real game changer for the central Borders which will open it up to new business opportunities.”
