MARINE and subsea business IMES has been awarded a contract by Bibby Offshore to carry out rigging equipment inspection and wire rope management.

The three year agreement has the potential to be worth a seven-figure sum, with two one-year extension options available to Bibby Offshore.

The contract covers Bibby Offshore’s fleet of vessels used to deliver subsea construction, ROV intervention, decommissioning, and inspection repair and maintenance in the North Sea and beyond.

The companies have worked together on a number of projects, with Tom Paling, Director – Service Delivery at Bibby Offshore, saying they had “established a strong relationship”.

IMES executive chairman Rod Buchan said: “This agreement from a major client of IMES is an important strategic milestone for us as we pursue our vision of becoming the leading provider in the subsea and marine sector.”
