KNIGHT Property Group has acquired a prime building in Edinburgh's St Andrew Square for more than £12 million, writes Scott Wright.

The deal to buy Edinburgh House takes to more than £25 million the investment Aberdeen-based Knight has made in Edinburgh in the last 18 months.

Knight, which is steadily building its portfolio outside its native north east, recently acquired property at 110 George Street and No. 2 Castle Terrace in Edinburgh.

Director Howard Crawshaw said: "We have always held a portfolio within Edinburgh and over the last 18 months have noticed a positive shift in the letting market and occupational demand.

“Edinburgh House represents our single largest investment out with the north east and we firmly believe its location and floor plate sizes will ensure it proves popular.”
