Findlay joins Lombard team

LOMBARD, the asset finance arm of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), has hired a new director for its technology division in Scotland.

Jim Finlay has joined Lombard Technology Services as relationship director for west and north Scotland. Along with Colm Courtney, who covers east Scotland and Northern Ireland, he is part of the team overseen by Nick Mayberry, regional sales director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Mr Findlay has worked in asset finance for nearly two decades, most recently as UK sales director for Dell Financial Services. While has worked across the UK and beyond throughout his career, his latest move brings him back to Glasgow, where his financial career started at RBS.

He said: “It’s good to be back on home territory and I’m looking forward to working closely with our LTS customers in Scotland to help them achieve their technology ambitions. As a company, we’re going from strength to strength as more businesses recognise the benefits of leasing technology, as well as the wider services provided by LTS, and I’m excited to be a part of this.”

Jim lives in Erskine, Renfrewshire with his wife Susan and is a keen skier and occasional golfer.

Colpitts brings in Plumley

COLPITTS World Travel has recruited Emily Plumley as its group co-ordinator at its Edinburgh-based European headquarters.

Ms Plumley will be responsible for handling all aspects of group travel for UK and European clients.

She brings nearly two decades of experience in the UK travel industry to the role, having worked at Japan Airlines, Cox and Kings, Wendy Wu Tours and, more recently, Osprey Holidays and Ski Independence.

Ian Scholes, director of European operations said: “Emily is an engaging and experienced operator who is a great addition to the Colpitts team in Edinburgh. Her appointment underlines the strong commitment to our European operation from Direct Travel following its acquisition of Colpitts earlier in the summer.”

The appointment comes after Direct Travel acquired Colpitts’ US and European operations in July.
