ITS photographers have captured the likes of Mike Tyson, Usain Bolt and Lionel Messi in their pomp, and covered national tragedies like the Dunblane shooting and the Lockerbie bombing.

And now, after almost three decades, photographic agency SNS Group is rebranding to better reflect the integrated services it provides, including digital and print design, photography, videography and animation.

The agency, set up by owner Jim McCann in 1988, has been part of the media landscape for nearly three decades, having been established to service national newspapers with stories and pictures.

Down the years, the agency has covered headline news and in more recent times, has become synonymous for its photographic coverage of sport, with its lenses trained on football and rugby World Cups, Open Golf championships, Andy Murray’s title triumphs at Wimbledon and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in its home city of Glasgow.

Mr McCann said: “I believe our success and longevity has been achieved by bringing together talented people with a burning desire to succeed. Hopefully there has been a little bit of vision in there as well.”

Commenting on the digital world his business now operates in, Mr McCann said: “It’s funny to look back now and realise the company was formed pre-Internet days. That seems a lifetime ago.

“In spite of our changes, we remain true to our roots and stills photography will always be a huge part of our service for media and online clients.”

He added: “But the world is such a fast moving place with 24-7 news online and social media booming. We recognise this and the first class works of our creative team has allowed us to make a valuable contribution to this boom.

“Our rebranding is a symbol of this digital revolution. We are a bright, modern and dynamic brand with a tonne of local talent and experience.”
