Berried treasures to brighten your outlook

Once the frost and wind have finally extinguished the blaze of autumn reds and golds, the gardener’s calendar can look deadly dull before trees and shrubs burst into leaf next spring.

Don’t despair, though, because there’s a rainbow of coloured berries to enjoy: reds, yellows, blacks, whites and countless mingling shades adorn the often leafless shrubs.
